By establishing a "remainder trust" within the Foundation. The donor receives an income tax deduction the year the
trust is extablished; he or she receives income from the trust during his or her and their spouses' lifetimes; any
capital gains and estate taxes on appreciated property are avoided and the donor has the perogative of naming other
non-profit organizations and institutions to receive a portion of the remainder upon his or her death and the death
of the donor's spouse.
